18 Jan 2021: Call for Abstracts for TRANSED 2022 announced. Download Save the Date Flyer

The Transportation Research Board of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and  Medicine, supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation, invites your participation in the 16th International Conference on Mobility and Transport for Older Adults and People with Disabilities (TRANSED), themed Inclusive and Accessible Transportation in Community and Regional Resilience, to be held September 2022 in Seattle, Washington.
The objectives of the conference are:
  • Describe current global research, trends, and services to improve mobility and accessibility for individuals with disabilities and for older persons;
  • Share experience, policy, and practices to provide reliable and safe mobility and transportation systems for those with mobility challenge; 
  • Develop a community of learners to identify opportunities to advance and sustain accessible services for individuals with disabilities and older adults across the world; and
  • Develop a framework for inclusive accessible transport in community and regional resilience.
