The First ever "Svayam Accessibility Awards" were hosted in New Delhi, on the sidelines of 13th TRANSED 2012. The Awards were given away during the closing ceremony of TRANSED 2012 on 19th September 2012 by Mr. Arvinder Singh, Hon'ble Minister of Urban Development, Government of NCT of Delhi, the Chief Guest for the occasion and Ms. Sminu Jindal, Founder- Svayam Global Centre for Inclusive Environments.
